Government Contract Specialist (Part-Time)

Location : San Antonio, TX
Pay : $32.00–$36.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule : Approximately 10 hours per week with potential for additional hours as needed

Quality Response Medical Staffing (QRMS) is seeking an experienced Government Contract Specialist to assist with identifying, evaluating, and pursuing government contract opportunities at the federal, state, and local levels. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience in government procurement, proposal development, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Search for and identify relevant RFQs, RFPs, IFBs, and other contracting opportunities
• Research federal, Texas state, county, city, healthcare, and emergency management contract opportunities
• Review solicitation requirements and provide recommendations on bid viability
• Assist with proposal development, preparation, and submission
• Monitor procurement platforms including SAM.gov, Bonfire, BidNet, GovWin, IonWave, CIVCAST, and similar systems
• Maintain proposal calendars and track upcoming opportunities and deadlines
• Assist with vendor registrations and government contracting requirements
• Occasionally visit VA clinics and other government or healthcare facilities in the San Antonio area to identify points of contact and support business development efforts
• Coordinate with company leadership to gather pricing, references, staffing plans, and proposal documentation

Qualifications

• Previous experience with government contracting, procurement, proposal writing, or contract management
• Familiarity with federal, Texas state, and local government contracting processes
• Experience searching and responding to RFQs, RFPs, and other government solicitations
• Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online procurement systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare staffing, medical services, emergency management, or professional services contracts
• Existing knowledge of VA, federal healthcare, or public sector procurement processes
• Proven experience contributing to successful government contract awards
