Polysomnographic Tech (Sleep Tech) - Sign-On Bonus of $15,000

Sign‑On Bonus $15,000 sign‑on bonus available. Responsibilities Perform sleep studies including procedures such as Electroencephalograms, Electrooculograms, Electromyograms, Respiratory effort, Airflow, Oximetry, End Tidal, PAP Device flow, etc. Explain procedures clearly and precisely to patients and/or responsible persons present. Identify documents and eliminate artifacts, taking proper measures to monitor suspected artifacts. Obtain at least 10 CEUs directly related to sleep annually. Stay abreast of new equipment and software implemented by the department and/or hospital. Maintain and clean equipment immediately after use and ensure equipment is in proper working order. Apply troubleshooting methods, repairs, and/or replace instrument parts as needed, notifying management immediately. Communicate with technical support during equipment troubleshooting. Demonstrate appropriate use of universal precautions and perform isolation techniques for patients as needed. Lift, move or transfer patients using proper body mechanics to prevent self‑injury or injury to others. Qualifications Graduate of a CAAHEP Polysomnography Program or minimum 6 months of experience in sleep medicine or respiratory procedures. Licensed Polysomnographic Technician – Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) – Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) – American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM). American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Work Shift Nights (United States of America).
