Position: Assistant Supervisor Department: BC Systems, Inc. Summary: BC Systems, Inc is a distribution and cooling company of raw agricultural products. A Assistant Supervisor provides support to all staff who receives, ship, and inventory those commodities and related supplies. Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, dusty, and noisy conditionsAbility to process all documents in both paper and electronic formats in a "real-time" environment.Ability to work day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day work week schedule. Full time positions are expected to travel throughout the year with the companies operations in California and Arizona.Acknowledge all types of carton materials, products and colors used in labelingLiteracy required, English requiredAbility to monitor direct and indirect operations costs and compare to budgetsGive tours as designated Job Function Statements – Non-Essential Functions:None Lead or Supervisory Responsibility:Meet all job description requirements for each of the positions that are direct reportsAbility to lead employees assigned as direct reportsEvaluate employees annually on their performanceTools, Equipment & Measuring Instruments:Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook)AS400 PRMSFamiliarized with the cooling equipment. Daily Tasks:Ensure execution of facility and equipment inspections including:12-Pallet and 6,000 # forklifts.Vacuum tubes.Loading dock restraints.
