Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role incorporates essential functions adapted from the Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Nursing theory and practice knowledge is essential for licensure eligibility. Clinical competence and management skills are vital for caring for target patient populations.
