Position Overview Responsible to plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical patients. Ensures patient care, safety standards, and documentation is carried out according to AORN standards, recommended practices, and guidelines. Receives direction from: Providers, Anesthesia providers, Nurse Manager. Gives direction to: Surgical Technician, Instrument Technician, Materials Mgmt. Clerk. Call required. Education Degree from an Accredited Nursing program Experience Previous O.R. experience preferred License/​Certifications MT RN Licensure ACLS PALS CNOR desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures. Principles of Asepsis. Basic Office Skills – computer and keyboarding.
