This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.About the Role:As a Material Planner at Relativity Space, you will play a key role in driving the material demand planning process across multiple vehicle missions and programs. You will work cross-functionally to maintain real-time visibility into material supply sources, manage material requirements, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless material acquisition and delivery. The role requires a proactive individual who is detail-oriented, has a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and is capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Partner with Sourcing/Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration, Test, and Launch teams to derive material demand from complex multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) and schedules, driving material requirement plans and priorities across multiple vehicle missions and programsGenerate material requirement signals and collaborate with Procurement to develop actionable material acquisition strategiesManage the mission-by-mission 'Material Readiness' process, providing real-time visibility into material supply and demand while ensuring alignment between Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teamsDevelop and implement material allocation strategies/models for constrained or at-risk materials based on company priorities and supply conditionsQuantify material forecasts that inform Sourcing’s immediate and medium-term material acquisition strategies, ensuring the smooth flow of materials through the production lifecycleParticipate in the development of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and processes within ERP platforms, increasing automation and accuracy in end-to-end planning operationsAbout You:Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, demand planning, fulfillment planning, or similar roles in fast-paced manufacturing, aerospace, or supply chain environmentsExperience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, finance, accounting, quality, and executive managementStrong understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), including key inputs (e.g., material attributes, demand, supply) and how MRP functions within ERP systems like Infor LN, SAP, or OracleExperience creating and managing demand forecasts and incorporating necessary data inputs for accurate material planningFamiliarity with BOM (Bill of Materials) reconciliationAbility to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentNice to haves but not required: Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel techniquesExperience with New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI)Experience with design release processes and systemsBackground in aerospace, frontier technology industries, or manufacturing environmentsAt Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
