Medical Assistant/Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in providing exceptional care. This position primarily supports our busy walk-in clinic. As a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the department. You will work to support providers, technologists, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care coordination, insurance, procedure assistance, scheduling, organization, and communication. This position is Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Responsibilities: Interview patients and document basic medical history Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders Update and maintain medical records Assist in arranging scheduling for referred services Check in patients and update patients' charts Assist with obtaining testing such as X-rays, blood draws, procedures, or other diagnostic evaluations, vitals, and any other needs. Handle receivable and payable accounts for self-pay patients and collect copayments and deductibles for patients with insurance Assist with patient payment estimations and insurance Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments HIPPA compliance Float reception Requirements and Skills: Certification in Medical Assistance Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably with orthopedic care experience Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software As a company we offer: Competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance Matching 401k Opportunities for professional development and continuing education A collaborative and supportive work environment dedicated to exceptional patient care The opportunity to work closely with leading health care providers and a highly skilled medical team #J-18808-Ljbffr McGinley Orthopaedic Innovations Inc
