Accounting Consultant (Property Management)

Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties.
- Ensure accuracy of property-level accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Partner with property managers and leadership to explain financial results and variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, process improvements, and internal control enhancements.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience within property management, real estate, or commercial/residential property environments.
- Strong understanding of property financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting/property management software (Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both accounting and operations teams.
- Multi-family, commercial, HOA, or real estate portfolio accounting experience.
- Experience reviewing financials for multiple properties and ownership groups.
