Overview Behavioral Health Technician – Join Our Team! Hours 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Work Location: In person Responsibilities Direct Care: Provide individualized support to youth clients, assisting them with daily living activities, coping strategies, and emotional regulation techniques. Therapeutic Environment: Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment by maintaining appropriate boundaries and enforcing program rules. Monitoring: Observe and document clients’ behaviors, moods, and progress, reporting significant changes to supervisors and the therapeutic team. Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises with appropriate intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with mental health professionals, family members, and support staff to develop and implement personalized care plans. Engagement Activities: Facilitate individual and group activities that promote emotional growth, social skills, and interpersonal relationships. Education & Support: Provide guidance and education to clients about mental health, coping mechanisms, and healthy lifestyle choices. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with privacy regulations. Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge related to youth mental health.
