Primary Patient Population Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients Level 1 Trauma Center Primary Skills Utilized/learned Patient Assessments Patient Triage Trauma care IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion Time management, critical thinking, delegating Personnel RN Will Work With LPNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Behavioral Observers (BO), Providers Number Of Beds On Unit 93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included) 10 Trauma Bays 80k+ patient visits annually Awards Or Recognitions The Unit Has Received Level 1 Trauma Center Lantern Award Stroke Certified MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation). Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio Current AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire. Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire. Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. PRN must possess current certifications upon hire.
