Food Manufacturing Packer

A Food Manufacturing Packer is responsible for packing, labeling, and preparing food products for shipment while maintaining food safety, quality, and production standards. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack food products according to company specifications and production schedules.
• Inspect products for quality, appearance, and packaging defects.
• Label, seal, and palletize finished products accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Operate basic packing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report damaged products, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging is an asset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including overtime when needed.

Working Conditions
