Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) assignment. The RN will provide high-quality patient care during Phase I and Phase II recovery while monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, PACU experience, and the ability to manage post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Current BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• Current PALS Certification

• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience

• Phase I PACU experience required

• Phase II Recovery experience required

• Proficient in IV insertion and phlebotomy

• Strong post-anesthesia patient assessment skills

• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I and Phase II recovery nursing care.

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.

• Assess and document patient status throughout recovery.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required.

• Monitor airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological status.

• Identify and respond to post-operative complications.

• Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge instructions.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic medical record.

• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled.
