Position Summary:

Communicates among a number of individuals, including patients, co-workers, insurance companies and prescribers

Demonstrates compassion and care by proactively identifying and resolving po

Works on a team to fulfill prescription orders from start to finish with an in-depth understanding of each workstation

Understands and follows applicable Federal and State laws (e.g. HIPAA), regulations , professional stands, and ethical principles.

Complies with policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, and protect patient privacy and security

Balances quality and efficiency in all tasks, contributing to both patient outcomes and broader team goals

As allowable by state law, certified and trained pharmacy technicians can expand on their clinical and managerial responsibilities

Promotes a sense of “teamwork” through demonstration of self-direction and self-motivation.

Displays outstanding customer service skills when interacting with patients, outside providers, referral sources or others.

Other tasks as identified and allowed per regulations

Upholds procedures and systems to safeguard the confidentiality of all patient and employee information. 

Upholds safety policies, practices, and procedures including safety, fire safety, electrical safety, proper body mechanics and material handling, office/ergonomic safety and other employee safety measures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED required. Current valid and unrestricted pharmacy technician license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy

EXPERIENCE: Must have completed Pharmacy Technician Trainee requirements

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills in English as well as basic reading and math skills. Computer proficiency with an electronic medical record. Commitment to exceptional customer service.

Salary: Starting at $23/hr up to $33/hr based on experience
