Phlebotomist II – Country Club Hills, IL (Mon – Fri 8:30 AM–4:30 PM) Pay range: $23.20 – $24.90 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions according to established training. Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigate a computer and accurately enter data – a requirement for success in this role. Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by the test order. Perform non‑patient facing duties, including inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner according to required frequency. Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly. Required Work Experience Three years phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Keyboard/data entry experience. Availability to work weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime as staffing needs require. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable). Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. The position requires effective communication in English.
