Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years PACU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital nursing role supporting patients through the critical post-anesthesia care phase. This contract position seeks a registered nurse with experience and skill in PACU environments, ensuring high-quality clinical care and safety for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia.

Qualifications:

• Unencumbered RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or similar post-operative setting
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity, fast-paced situations

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, identifying and responding to complications
• Manage and document vital signs, pain control, and post-operative care plans
• Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and IV therapy
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the wider perioperative team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about post-surgical instructions and recovery
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in compliance with facility policies
