PRN Part Time PACU RN Registered Nurse

Schedule 2-3 10‑hour shifts weekly, overnight call roughly twice per month, call every 7th weekend. Overview PRN PACU Registered Nurse (RN) role at Catholic Medical Center within HCA Healthcare. Key Responsibilities Manage airway support and monitor neurological and cardiac status of postoperative patients. Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery. Respond promptly to complications or side effects. Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical record documentation. Identify and intervene pre‑emptively to avoid crisis situations. Communicate patient status and needs to team members. Develop and update individualized plans of care, including cultural and developmental needs. Coordinate and implement medical diagnostic and therapeutic orders. Anticipate and manage complications of disease progression and invasive procedures. Advocate for patients and families, ensuring calm and therapeutic environment. Apply nursing process for assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation. Adhere to safety, organizational, and ethical standards per ANA Code of Ethics. Utilize performance improvement and core measures to enhance patient outcomes. Serve as a resource and trainer for colleagues. Apply critical thinking to solve problems and improve patient care. Minimum Qualifications Current RN registration in the State of New Hampshire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred.
