Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Hematology/Oncology unit position requiring ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

• Hospital-based Hematology/Oncology unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Stepdown experience required for this assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications and chemotherapy/immunotherapy, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, obtaining and monitoring physiological data, documenting patient responses, and coordinating discharge education with patients and families
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Workers who have previously completed an assignment at this facility may extend once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning a new contract
• This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
