Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every-other-weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of approximately 1:5–6, with acuity-dependent variation
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitoring system; perform EKGs and administer aerosol treatments for non-vented patients
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and IV team to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Participate in holiday rotation schedule alongside permanent staff
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, pneumonia, COPD, chronic renal disease, cardiac cath, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• If floated to Critical Care, manage med/surg or stepdown-level patients

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Must comply with facility dress code (Royal Blue scrubs) and infection control standards including no artificial nails

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with similar patient ratios and acuity levels
• Familiarity with Accudose pharmacy dispensing systems
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and performing EKGs
