What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized treatment plans
• Assessing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, whether collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on credentialing
• Instructing patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and managing diseases
• Prescribing medications and treatments within your practice scope
• Engaging in follow-up care and managing chronic conditions
• Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, integrated care
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Credentials Required

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Tennessee
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty counterpart
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days
