Dean of Academics, Curriculum, and Instruction
Trinity Academy, Incorporated
Dean of Academics, Curriculum, and Instruction Wichita, United States | Posted on 06/05/2026 Trinity Academy is dedicated to partner with parents in providing a Christ-centered, college-preparatory education for students committed to spiritual growth and academic excellence. Purpose Statement The purpose of Trinity Academy is to train college-bound students to know, honor, and love Jesus Christ by imparting TRUTH(academic knowledge, “to know”), FAITH(spiritual disciplines, “to believe”), and CHARACTER(Christian values, “to do”). Philosophy of Christian Education Scripture clearly teaches that parents are responsible for their children’s education and discipline. The school is not a substitute for the home. Rather, it is an extension of the home and one means through which parents may fulfill the responsibility for education given by the Lord. Trinity Academy affirms that the Bible is authoritative, reliable, and the final source of truth. Education can be most effectively accomplished in an environment that recognizes that all truth is God’s truth, and the fear of the Lord is the foundation of all wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, within the school curriculum there exists an emphasis on the unity of all truth and on the development of an eternal perspective on life. Job Description Trinity Academy is searching for a Dean of Academics, Curriculum, and Instruction to serve as a senior administrator responsible for designing, implementing, and improving Trinity’s K-12 academic program. This new position is designed for a “leader of leaders” who will guide teachers and build a vertically integrated curriculum that bridges the K-8 and High School programs. The ideal candidate will inspire educators, navigate the tension between rigorous college preparation and inclusive education for a variety of learners, and ensure that academic excellence is fully integrated with a biblical worldview. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Curriculum Development & Alignment: Design and update curriculum to align with adopted standards, ensuring consistency and excellence across all grade levels and subject areas. Lead curriculum review cycles and adoption processes in collaboration with faculty and the Upper and Lower School Heads. Instructional Leadership: Promote effective and inspiring instruction by developing written instructional frameworks and teaching guidelines. Equip faculty for instruction through observation and support, while leaving the execution of instruction and formal faculty evaluations in the hands of the lower and upper school heads. Faith Integration: Help teachers effectively integrate their faith and Biblical worldview into everyday instruction across all subjects, helping to move beyond “boxed” curriculum to restore the artistry of teaching and remind educators of their calling. Professional Development: Plan and deliver training for faculty that mitigates fatigue, nurtures their love of learning, and equips them to inspire a love of learning in their students. Mentor grade-level team leaders and department leaders while identifying professional learning needs across the organization. Data Analysis & Assessment: Utilize assessment systems and student performance data to assess and guide instructional improvements, and closely monitor progress toward the school’s academic goals. Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to educational standards and work collaboratively with accreditation team leaders to accomplish goals. Requirements Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is highly preferred. Doctoral degree or working toward, is a plus. Enthusiasm for K-12, Christian education, from the perspective of a parent, educator, or former student (administrative or teaching experience preferred). Experience in a Christian school environment, and working with an integrated Biblical Curriculum. 5-10 years of experience in education or a related field. Must have previously held a School Administrator position. Experience with both K-8 and High School curriculum, with a strong background in Christian School curriculum and faith education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Possesses a deep love for Jesus and a vibrant commitment to spiritual formation. Is a resilient, gritty, and trustworthy team builder who thrives in a collaborative environment. Owns and champions Trinity’s “Together” core value, with a heart to serve the school community. Ability to bring to the table a “teacher of teachers” skill set. Understands the beauty and wonder of education and is a lifelong learner who is highly engaged with current educational thought, professional conferences, and reading. Is capable of navigating change in a healthy way and gracefully managing diverse opinions. Can navigate the tension between providing rigorous college preparation for high-achieving students and creating an inclusive environment that accommodates a variety of learners. Understands the value of athletics and fine arts, viewing them as crucial tools for discipleship, engagement, and student motivation rather than competing interests. Able to inspire teachers and help them move beyond scripted, “boxed” curriculum to integrate a biblical worldview and restore the true artistry of teaching. Works effectively with the Head of School and the existing leadership team. Is adept at problem-solving with a solution-oriented and adaptable approach. Actively embraces and promotes the school’s ecumenical Christian identity. Is willing to contribute directly to the classroom by teaching one class. #J-18808-Ljbffr
