Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing (DON) Elevated Hires is recruiting a Director of Nursing (DON) for an opportunity in healthcare technology. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can deliver high-quality work, collaborate across teams, and turn complex requirements into practical results. The position is based in Queens, the organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and clinical management of the nursing department. Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, CMS, and the organization State Department of Health (DOH) regulations. Provide direct clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring, and support to all nursing department staff. Maintain continuous facility readiness for state, federal, and regulatory surveys and inspections. Manage department staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and oversee ongoing clinical staff competencies. Develop, review, and implement evidence-based nursing policies, clinical procedures, and operational best practices. Active leader in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and quality initiatives. Conduct regular clinical rounds to monitor resident care delivery, clinical outcomes, and staff performance. Address and resolve staff concerns, clinical complaints, and grievances in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to foster a positive, high-performing care environment. Qualifications Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of the organization required. Leadership Experience: Previous Director of Nursing (DON) or senior nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting required. Clinical Experience: Extensive background and clinical experience in skilled nursing and long-term care environments required. Regulatory Expertise: Strong, in-depth knowledge of the organization State DOH regulations, CMS requirements, and survey processes. Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SigmaCare EMR is strongly preferred.
