Director of Nursing DON Job Summary: Highlands Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Director of Nursing DON to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of excellence and compassion. About the Role: As a Director of Nursing DON , you will be responsible for: Leading and managing a team of nurses and licensed professionals to deliver high-quality patient care Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans Monitoring and analyzing departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards Recruiting, hiring, and training nursing staff to meet patient care needs Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatments, and outcomes Participating in budget development, cost containment, and quality improvement initiatives Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field (or equivalent experience) Current RN License and Active Certification as a Nursing Administrator (DON) Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare software systems What We Offer: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (TBD) Opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team of healthcare professionals Collaborative and dynamic work environment Professional development and growth opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Highlands Rehabilitation
