Description Director of Nursing (DON) Pinetown, NC | Full Time A skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Pinetown, NC is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead its nursing department and help ensure high-quality resident care. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for the nursing department. Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. Supervise and support nursing staff and department leadership. Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and resident care plans. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Assist with staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and retention. Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Prepare for and participate in state and federal surveys. Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Qualifications Current North Carolina RN license required. Previous DON, ADON, or nursing leadership experience preferred. Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively lead and develop a nursing team.
