Austin Staffing, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer Tech for our client based in the greater Kansas City, MO. Metropolitan area. This is a Direct Hire long-term opportunity within a thriving mid-sized firm which specializes in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering and Construction services. Position Overview: This role focuses on preparing civil engineering plans and exhibits for single-family and multi-family residential, commercial, retail, and industrial site development projects. Responsibilities: • Prepare civil engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Assist with site design, grading, drainage, and utility layout. • Support plan production for permitting and agency submittals. • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet deadlines. Skills/Qualities: • Detail-oriented • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment • Maintain drafting standards and ensure accuracy across deliverables • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Qualifications: • 3–5 years of experience in civil design and plan preparation • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D • Experience in land development (residential, commercial, retail, industrial) • Ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment Compensation & Benefits: • Salary commensurate with experience • Performance-based bonuses (mid-year and year-end) • 401(k) with 3% company contribution • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage • Company-paid life insurance and disability options
