We're partnering with a leading area manufacturer in the Ft Wayne area in their search for a Credit & Collections Associate.

About the Role
In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of customer accounts, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely collections. You'll work closely with sales, billing, and accounting teams while maintaining accurate customer records and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of customer accounts, partnering with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and account setup.
• Perform collection activities via phone, email, and written communication.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies using invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading, and related documentation.
• Address short pays, disputes, and customer questions in a professional and timely manner.
• Provide updates on past-due accounts to the Credit Manager.
• Maintain accurate customer records and positive working relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Assist with reports related to delinquent or aging accounts, as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial credit & collections or accounting experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a professional phone presence
• Ability to interpret purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation
• Detail-oriented with strong Excel and Word skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, onsite environment
