Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care / Step Down (IMCU). This is a 13 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule: Day shifts (schedule varies) 36 or 48 hours expected per week (contract options available)
• Manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a 16 20 bed medical step down unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions including sepsis, heart failure, respiratory failure, and neurological issues.
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage cardiac monitors as needed.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and intervene promptly based on changing patient conditions.
• Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (EPIC).
• Respond to rapid changes in patient status and escalate care appropriately.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: Registered Nurse, RN, Progressive Care, Step Down, IMCU, ACLS, BLS
• Active RN License (GA or Compact State)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in progressive care, step down, IMCU, or similar high acuity setting
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma or large hospital setting (preferred)
• Ability to work day shifts (schedule varies), 36 or 48 hours guaranteed per week (contract options)
• Both local and travel candidates considered local candidates eligible to apply
• Strong critical thinking, cardiac monitoring, and drips management skills
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Strong understanding of vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drip titration
• Excellent assessment and rapid intervention skills
• Ability to manage complex, multi morbid patients
• Strong communication and teamwork in a high acuity setting
• Compassionate, patient first mindset
