Position Summary As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department, delivering more of what members love for less. You will collaborate with associates to meet member expectations. What you’ll do Be a Team Member : Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians, while communicating and developing interpersonal skills for safe and efficient customer service. Be an Expert : Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, and Point‑of‑Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques. Be a Techie : Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, elevate associate engagement using handheld technology and systems for immediate business decisions. Be an Owner : Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs; track and monitor returns and special orders; operate cash registers, process transactions; maintain accurate inventory and audit safety and compliance standards; report complaints and safety hazards; complete paperwork logs and documentation; ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored per policy. Be a Talent Ambassador : Serve as a brand advocate, value the member experience, model high-quality service and products, influence and inspire, and assist in training others. Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, using the Open Door Policy and related action plans. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; carry out tasks; communicate progress; recommend improvements. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications Valid state‑issued driver’s license. Completion of all required training and assessments within the prescribed time period. Must be 18 years of age or older.
