Radiology / Cardiology - CT Tech

Job Title

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Must have more than 500 bed hospital experience, do not screen if not.

Required Skills/Certs/Exp:

• Minimum years of experience: 2 years, but more preferred
• Traveler experience: Unit will accept first time travelers
• Skills: Inpatient, ER, Adult ICU. GE and Siemens scanner use is a must. Some trauma
• CT procedure experience: Abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, multiplanar reconstruction
• Certs: BLS, ARRT(R) and ARRT (CT) required

Preferred Skills/Certs/Exp:

• Skills: Outpatient, IV starts, PACS, contrast, Visage

Job Details:

• Ratios: Daily caseload of 150-200 scans; 4 rooms
• Shift: 40 hours can be offered
• Unit will accept 13 weeks
• 10-hour nights (Monday-Thursday block); 21:00 - 07:00
• Call requirement: None
• Floating requirement: None
• Weekend schedule: None

Patient Diagnoses: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

This is in the emergency department on a Siemens scanner doing routine ED patients, also code stroke and some trauma patients. Very fast paced. On first shift we typically have 4-5 techs. Second shift after 5pm there are typically 2-3 techs. Third shift there is 2 techs. Weekends we have 3 techs. Typical case load for one tech in an 8-hour shift is anywhere from 8-12 patients.

Special Equipment: Siemens scanner, GE. Unit systems: EPIC, Visage. Screen if no Visage.
