Join Our Dynamic PCU Team as a Night Shift RN!

Job Description:


- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights
- Unit: 4th Floor East Wing
- Bed Capacity: 55 beds
- Patient Population: Adults and Rare Peds (15 and older)

Key Responsibilities:


- Deliver exceptional patient care with adherence to the profession's highest standards.
- Manage a diverse patient population experiencing conditions such as CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, and subdural hematoma.
- Collaborate with a tight-knit team that includes Charge Nurses, Educators, Care Managers, Social Workers, and Therapists.

Work Environment:


- RN Ratio: 1:4 (Days and Nights)
- Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend
- Support Staff: Nursing Assistants and additional unit support staff

Requirements:


- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Competencies: Telemetry experience
- Soft Skills: Adaptability, teamwork, and a knack for managing the daily operational flow

Unit Challenges & Focus:


- Staffing considerations with the likelihood to float to Medical-Surgical areas based on need
- Focus on enhancing patient experience through hourly rounding and responsiveness

Cancellation Policy:


- Be aware that the hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week contract and 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks.
