Applicants that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.SciTec has an immediate opening for an Infrastructure Principal Engineer to work with the Infrastructure Team Lead responsible for global configuration management and task execution across multiple locations and compliance environments.Responsibilities:The Infrastructure Principal Engineer will support various infrastructure and compute requirements across multiple locations. This person will have expertise in building and maintaining infrastructure platforms based on technologies such as VMWare, Linux and Windows. They will embody eagerness to create and own processes for enhancing the team and streamlining processes.Design, deploy and maintain functional systems and private cloud platforms as a member of the corporate infrastructure team supporting custom applications and DevOps processesResolve issues escalated by lower service desk tiers by troubleshooting deployed, cloud, and local infrastructureAutomate tasks and monitor their effectivenessMentor team members on technical issuesCreate, oversee, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery)Communicate with users to design and field optimal solutionsDesign and implement solutions to deliver superior system performance, capacity and scalabilityMaintain complete technical documentation in support of Authorization To Operate (ATO) packagesOther duties as assigned
