Commercial Truck Driver (PM Shift)

Truck Driver (Class A) – Non‑Supervisory Position Job Title: Truck Drivers (Class A) Non‑Supervisory Position Reports To: Cold Storage Manager Hours per Week: Varies during peak season (day and night) Job Location: Cold Storage Note: Drivers are never permitted to leave the State of California (Intrastate) in a company truck. Job Summary To ensure timely delivery of product to customers on specific routes while providing exceptional delivery service and ensuring product quality. Responsibilities and Duties Provide a clean DMV printout to be considered for the position. Enforce and encourage the company’s safety program and use of required safety equipment. Transfer, sales orders, repack/restyle transfers, and truck logistics. Manage receiving of packed product, purchased product, and repack/restyle product. Prepare items for shipment and verify information against orders and bills of lading. Provide customer service. Enforce food safety program. Communicate daily with packing and sales departments. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and educate personnel on equipment use. Transport product from origin to destination as assigned per order. Load and unload delivery trucks of purchased/sold products. Verify all incoming and outgoing product for accuracy prior to delivery, including quantity, size and type. Inform Sales & Shipping departments of inventory changes and conduct periodic inventory audits. Ensure all orders and delivery paperwork is available for inspection. Represent the company professionally with all customers. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal transportation regulations. Abide by all state and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies. Perform basic vehicle inspections and minor maintenance such as fuel, oil and radiator checks. Perform minor facilities maintenance and custodial housekeeping of cold storage facility. Compile and submit damaged/aged inventory reports. Qualifications and Skills Valid CDL – Class A. Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles. Excellent communication skills. Ability to produce results in a fast‑paced environment. Team‑oriented work approach. Capability to lift 50–75 pounds. Medical clearance. Pay Range Rate: $18.00 – $19.50 per hour. Position may encompass additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
