Logistics Operations Specialist Job Summary The Logistics Operations Specialist supports daily third-party logistics operations, manages carrier performance, coordinates outbound shipments, monitors KPIs, and contributes to optimizing transportation processes. Responsibilities Coordinate third-party logistics operations, including intermodal, over-the-road, and cross-border freight. Manage outbound LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments from planning through delivery. Coordinate dedicated truck operations and load planning. Monitor carrier performance and KPIs while maintaining strong carrier relationships. Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS) to manage shipment data. Track and trace shipments, ensure timely proof of delivery collection, and support invoicing. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve transportation efficiency and maximize carrier utilization. Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers. Requirements 3‑5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, dispatch, or supply chain operations. Experience with TMS, WMS, dispatch operations, and carrier management. Strong analytical skills with experience tracking KPIs and identifying process improvements. Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. High school diploma or GED required; bachelor s degree preferred. Experience with cross‑border logistics, especially between the U.S. and Mexico, is highly desirable.
