Job Description

Step into a specialized role delivering critical care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting neonatal and pediatric populations, providing vital service in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Schedule:

• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 7pm-7am
• Rotated weekends

Key Qualifications:

• Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU and PICU settings (required)
• Valid NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
• Strong clinical skills in providing respiratory assessment, care, and intervention for neonates and pediatric patients
• Ability to respond skillfully and calmly in emergency situations
• Collaborative attitude working with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy interventions to neonatal and pediatric patients in NICU and PICU units
• Carry out ventilator management, airway care, oxygen administration, and non-invasive support
• Rapidly assess patient status, adjust therapies as needed, and participate in resuscitations
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans
• Provide clear patient education and communicate with families as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
• Uphold infection control protocols and hospital safety regulations

$1,918 - $2,087/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
