Position Summary

Operate a metal band saw to accurately cut structural steel, pipe, tubing, and other raw materials according to shop drawings and production specifications. Material handling with a forklift and accurate measurements are essential to support fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a metal band saw to cut structural steel, plate, pipe, and tubing to specification.
Read work orders, shop drawings, and measuring tape to ensure accurate cuts.
Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift.
Inspect material dimensions and maintain quality standards.
Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures.

Expected Results

Accurate cuts with minimal material waste.
Material staged and ready for fabrication.
Safe forklift operation and material handling.
Production goals met while maintaining quality.
