Relate Search has partnered with a specialized packaging prototype company that supports leading consumer packaged goods brands through new product development, packaging design, and product launches, in their search for a Software Engineer to become the primary developer for their internally developed business applications. This is an opportunity to own and continuously improve applications that touch nearly every department in a fast-growing, technology-driven business. The ideal candidate will partner closely with operations and other business stakeholders to build and refine tools that streamline workflows, evolving the company's internal platform from the ground up rather than simply maintaining legacy systems.

• Own and continuously enhance the company's internally developed business applications, improving functionality and usability over time.

• Maintain and support production applications while designing and building new internal tools.

• Partner with operations and other business stakeholders to streamline workflows and translate business needs into software solutions.

• Develop solutions that integrate with the company's existing ERP system to support quoting, order management, and shipping processes.

• Build additional web applications as the business grows, including potential development of a customer-facing portal for project submissions.

• Proven experience building full-stack web applications, with hands-on expertise in React, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance maintaining existing applications with developing new functionality.

• Experience working within a collaborative development team environment.

• Comfortable operating in a small, fast-growing company where ownership and adaptability are valued.

• A humble, hungry, and smart approach, with genuine excitement to build solutions that directly impact the business.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT) to accelerate and enhance internal application development.
