About the Role The Payment Poster will accurately and timely post payments received from insurance providers, clients, and third‑party payors. Candidates should understand behavioral health billing (preferably ABA) and possess strong attention to detail and financial transaction proficiency. Key Responsibilities Refund Processing Review and analyze accounts for overpayments, billing errors, or discrepancies that require refunds. Coordinate with billing staff to validate refund reasons and ensure accurate documentation. Verification of Refund Requests Confirm legitimacy of refund requests by examining supporting documentation. Communicate with internal departments and external entities for additional information. Communication Engage clients, insurance providers, and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in refund requests. Provide clear status updates on refund requests. Documentation Maintain detailed, organized records of all refund transactions and supporting documents. Prepare and submit necessary documentation for approval and audit purposes. Compliance Ensure adherence to industry regulations, billing standards, and company policies related to refund processing. Stay informed about changes in reimbursement policies and best practices.
