Job Summary:
The healthcare facility located in Castro Valley, California, is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician for an 8-hour day shift. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures within a busy acute care hospital environment, utilizing specialized skills and certifications to ensure optimal patient care and operative efficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, at least 0 years of experience, and valid California State Licensure.
• Specialty: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT).
• Experience: Minimum 0 years required; however, 2 years of relevant clinical experience is recommended.
• On Call: Not required but may be offered or available.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting with a variety of surgical procedures including, but not limited to, general, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, urology, OB/gyn, and trauma surgeries. Candidates should be proficient in aseptic technique and familiar with surgical instrumentation and procedure protocols.
