Quality Inspector 2nd Shift

Responsible for inspection of all parts routed through Blue Mark Area, performs routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, goods in process, and finished goods. Must possess high level of attention to detail.

• Inspects materials and finished parts for compliance with engineering drawings (Customer requirements) and company specifications.
• Performs assigned routine test on materials, goods in process, or finished goods where results are compared with company quality standards.
• Reports results to Senior Quality Engineer and/or Quality Coordinator/Auditor who will make an analysis and take necessary action.
• Will be responsible for ensuring communication with QA Engineer and/or Coordinator in the event that there are questionable quality defects.
• Inspects visually for obvious defects.
• Performs detailed visual inspection when necessary to determine quality of product where limits are not clearly defined. Takes corrective action to correct defect/issue then places acceptable/approved product back into production for shipment to customer.
• Notifies Quality Auditor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.
• Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
• Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting/standing/walking.
• Position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, handling, and/or use of tactile information.
• Must be able to express ideas or exchange thoughts by means of talking, hearing, reading and/or writing.
• Requires motor coordination, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, Excellent eye-hand coordination and may include transporting objects and lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Exposure to various types of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and other agents utilized in factory.
