Job Summary:
Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Bismarck, North Dakota. This position involves working in a dedicated pediatric unit with a variety of patient cases, including stable medical/surgical pediatrics, ICU overflow, and specialized care for infants and children. The role requires flexibility to float to related units if needed, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week, with rotating shifts based on seniority and unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification, PALS Certification; minimum of 2 years of pediatric medical/surgical nursing experience. Ability to titrate drips such as Tylenol, Keppra, and Insulin (consideration for candidates without insulin experience).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and neonatal care. Pediatric or ICU experience is preferred.
• Float: Float to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and newborn nursery as census fluctuates; may be utilized for 1:1 sitting.
• Additional Information: The unit is a close-knit team with a zoo-themed environment, including themed rooms and interactive play areas. The facility provides scrubs in any color. Orientation includes two 12-hour shifts. The unit is a Level 2 trauma setting, with a pediatrician available 24/7 and in-house respiratory therapy staff.
