Dialog Café is a family-owned cafe in the heart of West Hollywood, serving our community with high-quality coffee, pastries, and food. We’re looking for a  Line Cook to join our team who shares our core values, takes pride in preparing great food, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate is  self-driven, reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about consistency and quality . Prior professional kitchen experience is required.

Position Details:

Schedule: Closing Shift
Availability Required: 6am - 9:30pm
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay:  $21/hour + tips

This is a  high-volume cafe , so the ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and maintain quality and ticket times during busy service is essential.

What You’ll Do:

• Execute all menu items consistently, ensuring proper temperature, quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Maintain efficient ticket times while working calmly and accurately under pressure.
• Set up, organize, and maintain your station throughout service.
• Properly close and reset your station in an efficient and timely manner.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain smooth service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Conduct yourself professionally at all times.
• Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Prior professional kitchen experience required.
• Strong understanding of professional kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Ability to maintain consistency and quality during high-volume service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of California ingredients and seasonal produce is highly preferred.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, recipes, and responsibilities.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
