Founding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) — Lifecor
Lifecor is building a modern life insurance carrier designed around a simpler experience for consumers, producers, and distribution partners.
We are assembling the founding team now and are looking for a Founding CFO to help build the financial foundation of the company from the ground up.
This is not a maintenance CFO role. We need someone who wants to help build a carrier.
What you’ll own
- Capital strategy, fundraising, and investor discussions
- Carrier capitalization and long-term capital planning
- Financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis
- Statutory and GAAP financial strategy
- Regulatory financial planning and insurer formation
- Reinsurance economics and capital implications
- Ratings strategy and rating-agency preparation
- Treasury, budgeting, controls, and financial infrastructure
- Evaluation of de novo formation, acquisitions, and other launch structures
- Building the finance organization as Lifecor scales
Who we’re looking for
Ideally, you have meaningful experience in life insurance, annuities, reinsurance, or insurance financial services and understand how insurance companies are actually capitalized and operated.
You should be comfortable working across founders, actuaries, regulators, reinsurers, investors, attorneys, and distribution partners.
Experience with some combination of the following is especially valuable:
- Life insurer financial leadership
- Statutory accounting / SAP
- Capital and surplus management
- RBC and solvency planning
- Reinsurance
- Insurance M&A or carrier formation
- Rating agencies
- Institutional fundraising or capital markets
- Financial modeling and actuarial economics
Most importantly, we are looking for a builder —someone willing to be hands-on today and capable of becoming the financial leader of a significantly larger organization over time.

Our founding team includes experienced leaders across actuarial, insurance, distribution, strategy, and technology.
We are moving quickly and are looking for someone who wants to help shape the company from the beginning.
