Client Relationship Manager

Market Client Relationship Manager (MCRM) The MCRM is a direct report to the Division Client Relationship Executive (DCRE) and reports also to the Merrill Wealth Management Market Executive (ME). The role manages Wealth Management Client Associates, Operations staff, and the branch’s Operations Department, focusing on delivering firm strategy through the execution of Market Strategy Plans and supporting a digital‑first client service model. Responsibilities Leads the service delivery model and wealth management banking strategy of respective markets to drive business growth. Hires, develops, and leads a cross‑functional team to support Financial Advisor teams and deliver outstanding client service. Supervises financial transactions and operations to drive risk management best practices and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, while preparing for any branch audit. Oversees the client service experience and approves new client accounts. Leads Wealth Management Client Associates and the branch Operations Department to meet and exceed the bank’s client service expectations and operational excellence goals. Managerial Responsibilities Process & Data Manager: Demonstrates deep process knowledge, operational excellence and innovation through a focus on simplicity, data‑based decision making and continuous improvement. Enterprise Advocate & Communicator: Communicates enterprise decisions, purpose, and results, and connects to team strategy, priorities and contributions. Risk Manager: Ensures proper risk discipline, controls and culture. People Manager & Coach: Provides coaching and feedback to motivate and improve performance. Financial Steward: Manages expenses and budgets in alignment with objectives. Enterprise Talent Leader: Builds bench strength for roles across the organization. Driver of Business Outcomes: Delivers results by prioritizing, inspecting, and delegating team work. Specific Responsibilities Ensuring client service expectations are met and exceeded while balancing risk and exposure. Managing the branch’s Wealth Management Client Associates and Service Support Staff. Representing the office and Merrill with clients, prospects, Financial Advisor recruits, vendors, regulators, and outside legal counsel. Demonstrating knowledge of Bank of America and Merrill Products & Services, trend analysis, risk assessment, HR, and broad industry knowledge. Coaching teams to deliver a modern, digital‑first service model focusing on client satisfaction. Identifying opportunities to connect Financial Advisors and clients to the broader enterprise. Managing daily operations ensuring compliance with industry regulations, policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Currently hold SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65), Series 9 and Series 10 (or Series 8), or equivalent licenses and Series 3, 31 licenses, if warranted. Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience. Key Qualifications for the Role Current or previous Merrill Wealth Management experience strongly preferred. Self‑motivated and client centric. Expert knowledge of regulatory and supervisory requirements and corporate policies and procedures. Investment product knowledge (e.g., 401K, options, annuities, tax, retirement plans, money funds, mutual funds, liabilities, margin, trust operations, etc.). Prior trend analysis experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Strong management skills, including the ability to plan, monitor, influence, negotiate, supervise and delegate. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Discretionary incentive eligible; annual discretionary plan based on performance.
