Job Overview A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity, Privacy & AI Associate to join their team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in the field and will work in a collaborative and flexible environment, providing strategic counseling and handling complex legal matters related to privacy, cybersecurity, and AI. Responsibilities Advise clients on state and federal privacy laws. Conduct deal diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions. Provide strategic counseling on product development and governance programs. Handle data breach investigations and defense of regulatory enforcement actions. Support litigation and incident response efforts. Requirements Hands-on experience with state and federal privacy laws. Experience in conducting deal diligence in M&A and commercial transactions. Familiarity with data-driven technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics. Working knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR frameworks and international data transfers preferred. Experience with data breach response and defense of enforcement actions a plus. Large law firm experience required. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
