Security Officer Distribution Field Patrol – Bloomfield, CT Assuming the role of a Security Officer Distribution Field Patrol in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries including logistics and distribution. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, reduce security‑related incidents, and support access monitoring and customer interactions. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM Tue – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM Wed – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM Thu – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM Fri – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, document observations, and communicate with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for visitors and vendors, and report suspicious activity, damaged equipment, and unsecured areas to appropriate personnel. Support loss prevention and inventory protection by observing shipping and receiving activity, checking restricted areas, and reporting irregular movements, trespassing, and after‑hours concerns. Minimum Requirements Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
