Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation is seeking an outpatient physical therapist to assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. The role involves restoring patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans; administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistant and supportive devices.

Essential functions include completing billing sheets accurately, evaluating the effects of treatment at various stages, performing patient assessments, providing inservice education programs, identifying and documenting goals, discussing evaluation and treatment with patients and families, participating in hospital-wide quality process improvement, supervising PTAs, and adjusting treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

Qualifications include a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Physical Therapy, a state license as a physical therapist, and 1-2 years of experience completing an internship or apprenticeship program. Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent organizational skills, familiarity with electronic medical record systems, effective communication, teaching abilities, problem-solving, case management, and knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements are also required.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, gross and fine manipulation, feeling, talking, hearing, and vision.

Work location is onsite at 300 First Avenue with a scheduled weekly hours of 40. The work shift is day. The pay range is $90,084.80 - $119,787.20/annual.
