We are hiring for: Clinician / DHH / Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services / Charlotte Office (Type: Credentialed) Responsibilities Facilitate clinical intakes and assessments for adults and children with mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse challenges. Provide comprehensive clinical assessments to determine medically required services. Effectively evaluate and treat clients, formulating individualized comprehensive person‑centered treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge. Utilize evidence‑based therapy modalities and provide individual and group therapy to promote optimum mental health and overall wellbeing. Establish a non‑threatening therapeutic environment, maintain professional boundaries, and build confidence and cooperation with clients, families, staff, and community stakeholders. Prepare and obtain correspondence reports for effective assessments, treatment plans, and therapy services. Perform clinical duties in accordance with RHA policy, procedures, and applicable State and Federal regulations. Serve as a member of the QA Audit Team to review charts for accuracy and quality. Encourage clients and families to explore feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to develop insights and achieve desired outcomes. Submit and obtain authorizations from Value Options and local management entities to ensure services rendered are billable. Maintain compliance with agency, state, local, federal, and accreditation standards for documentation and billing. Ensure confidentiality of records and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Submit incident reports to appropriate state/local agencies and RHA policy and procedure. Participate in treatment team meetings, provide on‑call/first responder services, crisis intervention, and response for assigned caseloads. Refer clients to appropriate community agencies and resources. Communicate ideas on service improvement to Team Leader or Director. Provide clinical and technical assistance to the team in case conceptualization, development, and implementation of PCP. Attend and coordinate clinical team meetings as directed by the Director or Team Leader. Provide training to other teams on clinical and diagnostic material when requested. Maintain consistent communication with Team Leader, Therapist, and State Director regarding documentation, authorizations, consumer progress, and satisfaction. Maintain regular contact with clients, treatment teams, guardians, and significant others. Deliver clinical services and support to achieve budgetary goals, collaborating with management to promote growth and sound clinical decision‑making related to revenue and expenditures. Education, Licensure, and Experience Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, or Sociology. Two years of mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse clinical services experience. Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) (Required) with a Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) score of Advanced Plus or better. Knowledge of Deaf Culture (Required). Physical Requirements Lifting: requires ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 40 lbs. occasionally. Pulling: must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs. Flexibility: squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as needed. Manual dexterity: regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Mobility: stand and walk regularly. CPR proficiency demonstrated from floor level with hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting. Vision: adequate close, distance, and peripheral vision.
