Job Overview Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is a 206‑bed women’s hospital in San Diego and part of Sharp HealthCare. The Per Diem OB Hospitalist will cover shifts 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with optional clinic shifts 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Responsibilities Shift rate: $2,500 per 12‑hour shift Paid malpractice and tail coverage Hospital shifts: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am; optional clinic shifts 8:00 am–5:00 pm Full specialty backup including 24‑hour perinatal and GYN/ONC service with dedicated OB anesthesia Act as point of care for labor & delivery, triage, postpartum, ED calls and occasional GYN emergency surgery (ectopic) Most calls handled with CNMs; backup physicians available Use on‑site overnight provider room Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience covering a busy L&D; 5 years preferred Board certified or eligible for consideration Must be able to receive privileges for basic laparoscopy including management of ectopic pregnancies (completed 10 cases within last 2 years) #J-18808-Ljbffr Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group
