Event Technician - On-Call / As-Needed

On-site at events, with occasional in-studio training and preparation. Some travel to surrounding states may be required. Schedule On-call / as-needed based on event bookings. Pay $20/hour About the Role New York Embroidery Studio is expanding our rapidly growing live events team and looking for part-time, on-call Event Technicians to grow with us. Our events program brings custom embroidery, laser engraving, heat transfer, and other personalization services directly to live brand activations, retail experiences, corporate events, and special projects throughout New York City and beyond. As our events program continues to grow, we are building a dedicated team of trained technicians who can support events on an as-needed basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, occasional work in a creative and fast-growing environment. This is an on-call position rather than a regularly scheduled part-time job. Event frequency varies, and technicians are contacted for shifts based on upcoming bookings, availability, and staffing needs. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. Prior machine experience is not required. We provide paid training on our equipment and event procedures. We are looking for people who are dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable learning new equipment, and able to work efficiently in fast-paced live event environments. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and break down equipment at live events Personalize guest items accurately according to individual orders Monitor equipment and perform basic troubleshooting Work closely with the Event Facilitator to keep orders organized and production moving efficiently Assist with packing, organizing, and preparing equipment and materials before events Maintain a clean, organized, and professional event workspace Represent New York Embroidery Studio professionally while working with clients, guests, and brand partners Requirements Strong attention to detail Dependability and punctuality Willingness and ability to learn new equipment Ability to stay organized and work calmly in busy event environments Ability to lift equipment and boxes and remain on your feet for extended periods Flexible availability for occasional shifts, including some weekdays, evenings, and weekends Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Event, production, embroidery, printing, fabrication, or machine-operation experience is a plus, but not required Paid training on embroidery machines, laser engraving, heat presses, and other event equipment Join a rapidly growing events team with opportunities for additional work as the program expands Hands-on experience at fashion, retail, corporate, and brand activations Work with creative teams and leading brands throughout NYC #J-18808-Ljbffr NYES
