Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on a 16-bed Med/Surg Tele unit
• Cares for post-surgical patients (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.) alongside general med/surg telemetry cases
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with weekend rotation required alongside core staff
• No dedicated IV team or ventilator management on this unit
• RT and pharmacy support available 24/7 (pharmacy remote after 6pm)
• Uses Cerner as the EMR system
• Floating required to a sister facility in Mesa as needed, with travelers first to float
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN not required for this position
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing a contract
• Must pass a Sim Lab competency test on Day 1 of orientation
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to post-surgical and general med/surg patients
• Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating A/B schedule
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN directly with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
