We are hiring per diem Licensed Practical Nurses to join our dynamic care team at Hospice Services of Massachusetts!

Candidate must be willing to travel throughout the area and be comfortable in skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospital settings. Weekly pay ranges from $38 to $40 an hour. Mileage is reimbursed.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure the highest quality of care at all times.

Experience & Education:

• Must be CPR certified.

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.

• Hospice experience preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care as defined in the State Nurse Practice Act, including specialized duties related to end-of-life care.

• Implements current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.

• Provides accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.

• Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and self-plan of care.

• Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group.

• Provides appropriate pain/symptom management. Evaluates patient’s response to treatments/medications.
